Coming Up: Gadsden-Etowah Habitat for Humanity Dragon Boat Festival

Gadsden-Etowah Habitat for Humanity Dragon Boat Festival

Row, row, row your boat for a good cause at the 10th Annual Gadsden-Etowah Habitat for Humanity Dragon Boat Festival on the Coosa River coming up on Saturday, August 19th!

About the Habitat Dragon Boat Festival

Paddles up! It’s almost time for 10 paddlers and one drummer to hit the water during this year’s Gadsden-Etowah Habitat for Humanity Dragon Boat Festival. That’s right, we said 10 paddlers instead of the usual 20.

This year, the non-profit organization decided to go with smaller boats and smaller teams for the same big result. According to reports, 100 percent of the proceeds will be used to support the construction of our local Habitat for Humanity’s 61st house.

Besides the excitement of the Dragon Boat race itself, there will be more fun to be had. There will be live music, face painting, food trucks, a photo booth and more! What’s more, after the race, the kids can load up in mini-dragon boats for rides down the river too.
