Pick up baskets and bushels of locally-grown produce and handmade products with a trip to the Gadsden Farmers Market this summer!
Let’s Get Fresh!
It’s the season for fresh fruits, vegetables and so much more each Friday from 7 a.m. to noon at the Gadsden Farmers Market happening now through September 10th. For the past four years, the farmers markets has been hosted at 5th Street Market at 439 Locust St.
The venue has full electricity, fans, bathrooms, roll-up doors and plenty of room for vendors selling their products. Goods include locally-sourced produce such as strawberries, blueberries, squash, zucchini, broccoli, cabbage, onions, tomatoes, corn, potatoes and herbs.
Plus, find homemade items like jams, jellies, preserves and sweet treats. For example, shoppers might find fried pecan pies or bundles of homemade cookies! There is fresh meat, cheese, eggs, honey and roasted coffee too.
What’s New?
Taking place in historic downtown, the Gadsden Farmers Market is free and open to the public. The type and number of vendors alternates and expands throughout the market season.
New to the scene is Blue Jug Water and their smiling jugs of specialty alkaline antioxidant water, plus other health products. In addition, guests can enjoy fresh refreshments like special Boba Lemonade from The Spot 4 degrees.
